Natty Preview!

An underrated aspect of Clemson’s National Championship game berth is having superlative national writers focus on your football team, and unearth new and exciting insights about a team you’ve been following closely all year.

Here’s a collection of articles and links we highly recommend for any Clemson fan mentally preparing for the game:

To further sate your hunger for Clemson content, we humbly present not one, not two, but three podcast episodes!

First, we caught up with legendary cornerback and all-around Clemson athlete Dexter McCleon.

Next, advanced stats guru Bill Connelly from SB Nation joined us to discuss his persepective on this game from an analytical standpoint.

And of course, the Pawcast crew reunited to break this game down and submit our predictions.

Enjoy, and GO TIGERS!!!

Orange Bowl Champs!

Clemson defeated the OU Sooners 37-17 in its 3rd Orange Bowl appearance in 5 years.

Dominance in the trenches yielded a gaudy difference between the teams’ respective rushing yard totals, which is about all you need to know about this one.

Clemson moves on to Glendale to face the Alabama Crimson Tide.

We recapped the Orange Bowl, teased the Alabama matchup, discussed recruiting news, and more. Enjoy!

Orange Bowl Preview

We’re T-2 days from the Orange Bowl, and for the first time since October, the full Pawcast team was on hand to record our game preview show.

The top seeded Tigers face the best team on their schedule, after defeating three other top-10 opponents. Oklahoma ended the 2015 season on a 7-game win streak, and many billed them as the best team in the country down the stretch.

We discussed the importance of a strong start, and the other keys to victory in our preview show:

Still hungry for more football talk? Don’t miss our slate of recent interviews:

Ryan Kantor Interview

In our latest episode, we looked in the rearview mirror at the 2015 season, and tried putting it in perspective as Clemson fans. Cody caught us up on recruiting news, and we sat down with STS’s Ryan Kantor to discuss mens hoops and football heading into the Orange Bowl.

Enjoy!

Godfrey Interview

Today, we welcomed Steven Godfrey, senior reporter at SB Nation and co-host of Podcast Ain’t Played Nobody (alongside Bill Connelly).

We discussed takeaways from an exciting 2015 season, how the coaching hires will impact the ACC’s future prospects, the Clemson vs. Oklahoma matchup, reactions to the Will Muschamp hire at South Carolina, and much more.

Steven’s a must-follow on Twitter, PAPN’s can’t-miss listening, and his articles on SB Nation are always a worthwhile read.

Enjoy!

Hardware Chase

With a number of 2015 coaching/player awards being announced this week, Clemson is well represented (good luck to Coach Venables, Shaq, and Deshaun!).

The rest of the team is using the time to rest up, take finals, and mentally prepare for a battle against Oklahoma.

We broke down our award hopefuls’ chances, discussed the litany of coaching movement around college football, and shared some recruiting news/updates.

Enjoy!

13-0: We Too Deep

Clemson delivered the goods on Saturday night, as the offense rolled up 45 points and the defense made enough plays to limit a potent UNC comeback.

Controversy aside, Clemson dominated this game by the numbers. The well-coached Tar Heels capitalized on Tigers mistakes throughout, and were a failed onside kick attempt from getting their shot at taking this one to OT.

It wasn’t meant to be, and now our Tigers are on to the College Football Playoff as the wire-to-wire #1 ranked team. Waiting for us in Miami are the Oklahoma Sooners (11-1).

Stay tuned as we prepare for the Orange Bowl with a slew of interviews and preview shows. In coming shows, we’ll also discuss Deshaun Watson’s Heisman candidacy and the coaching carousel.

For now, let’s enjoy this win!
